Early Morning Crash on Route 49

WESTFIELD TWP. – At 3:36 am this morning, Westfield Fire Department along with an ambulance from Clymer Hose Co. (Sabinsville) and Medic 1 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Route 49 in Westfield Township.

At least one person was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro.

At the time of this posting (8:16 am), personnel are reported to still be on scene repairing damage from the crash.

Route 49 has been closed due to wires down.
