Early Morning MVA on Horse Run Road in Shinglehouse

SHINGELHOUSE – Rescue personnel from Bolivar, Richburg, Shinglehouse Deptartment 39, and Medic 6 responded to an early morning motor vehicle accident on the Horse Run Road in Shinglehouse at the New York border this morning just before 3:00 am.

The crash involved one vehicle with two occupants. The vehicle was reported to be in the ditch and partially blocking the roadway. Early responders reported that both occupants were extricated and “seemed to be okay”.

Personnel from Pennsylvania were first on scene. Bolivar and Richburg fire personnel were eventually recalled when it was determined that the crash was actually on the Pennsylvania side, but a Bolivar ambulance continued to the scene of the accident.

Since the crash occurred at the New York/Pennsylvania border, it was unclear at the time of the accident whether or not, and where, the victims would be transported.
