1 min readEdwin ZIEGLER, III, 73, of Harrison Valley, PA, formerly of Ulysses, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.
Born August 1, 1938, in Salford, PA, he was the son of Edwin R. and Della Marie Fryer Ziegler.
He was married to the former Nancy A. Moore, who predeceased him on May 8, 2008.
A graduate of Pottstown Senior High School, he was employed by Risson Press in Pottstown as a lithographer for 12 years and by Boyertown Publishing Co. in Boyertown as an assistant foreman in the offset preparatory dept. for eight years. He began employment as chaplain at the Northern Tier Children’s Home in Harrison Valley in 1984, leaving only to attend Philadelphia College of Bible (now Philadelphia Biblical University), where he graduated in 1996. An ordained minister, he attended the Ulysses Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are: a son, Edwin Ziegler, IV of Lincoln, NE; a daughter, Lori A. Kazimer of Coudersport, PA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Betty Trovinger, Fern Weidner, and Edna Bauer, all of Pottstown, Norma Smith and Ernestine Reinert, both of Boyertown; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Potter County Hospice, c/o Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA 16915.
