EF-1 Tornado in Knoxville Confirmed by NWS
1 min readKNOXVILLE – The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado was responsible for the damage in Knoxville, PA on Monday morning.
Officials say the tornado touched down at approximately 1:45 am.
The tornado, which produced wind speeds as high as 95mph, was an estimated 200 yards in diameter and traveled approximately a mile and a half.
The tornado first touched down near Fork Hill, and then tore a swath through Knoxville, causing severe damage to homes, trees and power lines.
