Elaine Y. Case, 76, of Lewis Run

Elaine Y. Case, 76, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, of 1549 Big Shanty, Lewis Run, passed away Sunday, February 27th, 2011 at The Pavilion at BRMC, surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 15, 1934, in Bradford, she was the a daughter of the late Lester Glenn and Bertha M. (Bundy) Yale.

On August 15, 1953 in the First Free Methodist Church in Allegany, NY she married Leland “Bud” Case who survives.

Mrs. Case was a 1952 graduate of Bradford High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh for Nurses Training. Mrs. case was formerly employed, Airco Speers, Corning Glass Works, DeSelles Candy Store, later at the VNA and prior to her retirement in 2001 she did private duty nursing for area families.

She was a member of Evans Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Cotton of Warren, Judith (Al) Scott of Lewis Run, Brenda (Garry) Akers of Lewis Run, and Joyce Brooks of Marshburg, two sons James (Cara) Case of Bradford and Dennis (Jen) Case of Rew, twenty grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lois McKee and Doris I. Yale, and one brother Velmore D. Yale.

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9pm in the  Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 3rd, with Rev. Glenn Hamilton, pastor Emeritius of the Lighthouse Community Free Methodist Church officiating. Committal services and burial will follow McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
