Eldred Firefighter-Turned-Arsonist Sentenced to Prison
1 min readA former Eldred firefighter has been sentenced to prison on charges of arson.
Thirty-nine-year-old Scott McClain was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison yesterday.
He was also sentenced to five years probation and was ordered to pay $250,000 in restitution to the Eldred Borough and Eldred Township volunteer fire departments.
McClain was arrested for setting fire to the Eldred Township and Eldred Borough fire halls in 2009.
McClain still faces charges in at least one other case of arson.
