Emergency Services Grants Available; Deadline Oct. 20
1 min readVolunteer fire companies and ambulance services throughout Pennsylvania are eligible to apply for funds under the Emergency Services Grant Program. Grants may be used for construction or renovation of a unit’s station, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction. During the last decade, $3.2 million has been awarded to about 40 volunteer fire and ambulance companies in Cameron, McKean and Potter counties. The program is funded through state-licensed gambling proceeds. The application period closes Oct. 20. Information is available on the internet at www.osfc.state.pa.us.
