Farmers’ Market Checks Available To Senior Citizens

Potter County Area Agency on Aging is once again distributing farmers’ market nutrition program checks to senior citizens who qualify based on income guidelines. Each senior citizen receives a set of four $5.00 checks per year. The checks can be picked up at most senior centers and may be redeemed at approved farmers’ markets.

County residents 60 or older are eligible for the checks if their income does not exceed $20,147 for single-person households, $27,214 for couples, and higher threshholds for larger households.
