A Buffalo man is dead after a crash Friday afternoon in Cattaraugus County. 28-year-old Purvis Jones Jr. was driving his pickup truck on Van Etten Road in the Town of Dayton when it went out of control on a curve, slid sideways and was hit by a vehicle driven by Daniel Barker Jr. of North Collins. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
