Fire Destroys 4 Vehicles at Basil Chevrolet

WELLSVILLE – Fire destroyed four vehicles in the lot behind Basil Chevrolet Monday, the dealership learned that afternoon.

At around 5 a.m., the fire began in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, General Manager David Basil said. An appraiser from Integra Appraisers of Hilton, which insured the Silverado, was there Monday to look at the damage to all the vehicles. Wellsville police and fire were investigating and county investigators were called in to assist with determining a cause. No cause had been found Monday.

The other three vehicles destroyed were a 1995 Chevy Suburban, 2003 Chevy S-10 and 2010 Chevy Silverado. They were parked next to each other in the lot behind the building. Other vehicles nearby were not damaged. No injuries were reported.
