Fire Reported Under Control – Route 6 CLOSED

At 3:52 pm the fire at Phil’s Auto Body on Route 6 in Wellsboro, which resulted in multiple fire departments and emergency personnel being called out, is reported to be under control.

Galeton, Wellsboro, Mansfield, Morris, Middlebury, PEMA, TCDOT and State Police have all responded to the blaze.

At this time, Coudersport Fire Department is sending one engine to Galeton to cover for their fire department.

Route 6 is closed. It is expected to be shutdown for several hours.
