* AT 1106 AM EDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN WAS FALLING DUE TO SLOW MOVING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER EXTREME WESTERN ELK COUNTY SINCE 800 AM THIS MORNING. EXPECT MINOR FLOODING TO BEGIN SHORTLY.
RUNOFF FROM THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OVER THE NEXT HOUR WILL CAUSE RISES ON SMALL STREAMS AND PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. REMAIN ALERT WHEN DRIVING THROUGH THE MIDDAY HOURS AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS.
