The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WATCH…

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN TO THE REGION TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW MELT WILL LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT RISES AND THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALIZED FLOODING ON STREAMS AND CREEKS FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
AND THE LAUREL HIGHLANDS.

CENTRE…NORTHERN CLINTONNORTHERN LYCOMING… NORTHUMBERLAND…PERRY…SCHUYLKILL…SNYDER…SOUTHERN
CENTRE…SOUTHERN CLINTON…SOUTHERN LYCOMING…SULLIVAN… UNION AND YORK.

* FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

* HEAVY RAIN OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES OVER A 12 TO 18 HOUR PERIOD… COMBINED WITH MELTING SNOW WILL BRING THE POSSIBILITY OF LOCALIZED FLOODING…ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALLER STREAMS…CREEKS AND IN NORMAL LOW LYING AREAS.

* FLOODING ALONG AND NEAR SOME AREA STREAMS AND CREEKS…AS WELL AS THE POSSIBILITY OF ROAD CLOSURES.
