Former Bradford Man and Mother Sentenced for Kidnapping

A former Bradford man and his mother have been sentenced to three years in federal prison after admitting to international parental kidnapping.
63-year-old Linda Wynn of Jamestown and 40-year-old William Amacher took a then-8-year-old girl to Mexico in 2007 during a custody case in 2007.
Wynn had custody of the child but the girl’s biological mother was in the process of regaining custody, which prompted Wynn and Amacher to leave the country with the child.
Authorities found them in April of 2009 after a Texas law enforcement officer reported that he had seen a disheveled white girl begging for food in a Mexican border town.
