Former Coudersport Resident Steven Rebert’s Murder Trial Continued

The trial for a former Coudersport man accused of murdering Brockway Florists Wayne and Vicky Shugar, has been postponed.

Steven Rebert, of Emporium, formerly of Coudersport, was scheduled to be in court today, but the trial has been postponed. A new trial date has not yet been scheduled.

Jefferson County D.A. Jeffrey Burkett is seeking the death penalty in the case.

Police also believe Rebert to be a suspect in the murders of Bill Fickel and Kevin Smith, both of New York.
