Former McKean County Interim Warden Settles with County
1 min readThe former interim warden of the McKean County Jail has been awarded an undisclosed settlement in federal court, according to an article published by WESB News Radio today.
Deborah Morlock, who had been the jail’s interim warden for a little over a month in early 2008, sued McKean County in federal court, alleging the county discriminated against her based on gender, and in doing so, denied her a permanent position as jail warden.
The lawsuit, which was filed by Morlock in 2008, was settled last November.
McKean County Commissioners eliminated the prison board in March of 2008, and returned control of the facility over to the Sheriff’s department, appointing Brad Mason as warden.
