Four Tornadoes Confirmed in PA

The National Weather Service has confirmed that four different tornadoes touched down in various parts of the state, three of them in central Pennsylvania.

Meteorologists said an EF-2 tornado, with wind speeds of 115 to 130 mph in Juniata County Monday evening, destroyed at least 17 barn type structures and caused damage to 7 homes.

An EF-1 tornado touched down in Schuylkill County, destroying a barn and damaging two other homes. Another EF-1 tornado was confirmed in Union and Northumberland counties as well.

A weaker tornado, classified as an EF-0, touched down in Carbon County and caused some damage to a home.

Authorities say no serious injuries or death was caused by any of the tornadoes.
