Four Tornadoes Confirmed in PA
1 min readThe National Weather Service has confirmed that four different tornadoes touched down in various parts of the state, three of them in central Pennsylvania.
Meteorologists said an EF-2 tornado, with wind speeds of 115 to 130 mph in Juniata County Monday evening, destroyed at least 17 barn type structures and caused damage to 7 homes.
An EF-1 tornado touched down in Schuylkill County, destroying a barn and damaging two other homes. Another EF-1 tornado was confirmed in Union and Northumberland counties as well.
A weaker tornado, classified as an EF-0, touched down in Carbon County and caused some damage to a home.
Authorities say no serious injuries or death was caused by any of the tornadoes.
