Free Help March 24 For Those Trying To Kick Tobacco Habit

A free workshop to help people kick the tobacco habit is scheduled for 1 pm to 2:30 pm Thursday, March 24, at Potter County CareerLink in Coudersport. Coaches will assist each participant in developing an individualized plan. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged by emailing quit@COGInc.org or calling 1-800-264-1290.
Clinical Outcomes Group Inc. is administering a program in Potter County to reduce adult and youth tobacco use, prevent youth initiation of tobacco, protect non-smokers from exposure to tobacco smoke, and reduce tobacco-related health disparities. Any business interested in offering tobacco cessation services to employees can receive free on-site seminars. No-cost nicotine replacement therapy is available to participants in the form of patches, gum and lozenges.
COGI has been providing services in Pennsylvania for more than ten years. A non-profit organization, COGI serves those affected by alcohol, tobacco and abusive situations. In addition to holding workshops, the organization refers individuals to support groups and otherwise helps them through the process of quitting.
