Galeton Spillway Nearly Overflowing
1 min readA reader, who asked to remain anonymous, submitted this photo of the spillway in Galeton, PA.
The water normally falls at what I would estimate 20 to 25 feet over this spillway, which in itself is normally never more than a couple feet deep at the bottom. Here, it appears to be at least 20 feet deep and barely keeping up with the Pine Creek river.
Note: This is mostly opinion, I am not sure the exact depth statistics for this spillway, but from my experience, this is my best guess.
