GENESEE TWP. – A Genesee man has been arrested and jailed on charges stemming from an incident yesterday afternoon, March 3, on Main Street in Genesee.

Trooper Brandon Allis said in a news release that 23-year-old Jeffrey T. Easton, of Genesee, arrived at the residence of a 21-year-old woman and engaged her in an argument regarding property at her residence.

Allis said Easton was advised by the woman to leave the property, but instead broke open the apartment’s rear and then removed a television valued at approximately $800. Damage to the door was estimated at $450.

Easton was located by State Police a short time later and arrested on charges of Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Theft and Criminal Mischief.

He was arraigned in front of District Judge Barbara J. Easton, and then remanded to the Potter County Jail after failing to post bail.
