Harassment by Telephone in Tioga

Trooper Robert Evanchick of the Mansfield PSP reports that on 3/21/12 between 4:41 and 6:16 pm Laura Swain, 76, of Tioga, PA was the victim of harassment.  She reported that an unknown male had contacted her via telephone and requested that she go to a CVS Store and purchase a Green Dot Money card in the amount of $199.00.  After purchasing the card, the unknown male advised the victim to call one of two numbers that he had provided to her and that someone would be in contact with her to give her a money award.  The male continued to call the victim after being told to stop.  A check of the telephone numbers showed that the male was calling from an unknown location in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This incident was referred to federal agencies.
