Hazardous Travel in Tioga County, Multiple Crashes Reported

Emergency personnel from throughout Tioga County have their hands full today.

Mulitple crashes have been reported on several roadways, including Route 15 and Route 287.

At 1:25 pm personnel from Mansfield were called to an accident on Route 15 South of the overlook.

At 1:56 pm a rollover accident brought personnel from Tioga and Lawrenceville stations to Route 287. Four people were reported in the accident, with at least one injury.

At 2:40 pm Mansfield and Tioga County Fire have been called for a crash on Route 15, near the Welcome Center.

Other accidents today included one on Tower Lane in Richmond Township, one on the Stony Fork Road in Delmar Township, and another at the intersection of Route 15 and Route 600 in Richmond Township.

Roads remain slippery as transportation officials continue to battle the quick snowfall. Motorists are urged to stay home or drive with caution if travel is necessary.
