A second and final public hearing will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 pm, at the Gunzburger Building in Coudersport for input on salaries for several Potter County elected officials. Commissioners Doug Morley, Susan Kefover and Paul Heimel will accept input at 6 pm and adopt a salary schedule that affects the offices of prothonotary/clerk of courts, register of wills/recorder of deeds, treasurer, commissioners (3), sheriff/jail warden, and auditors (3).
Salaries included in the schedule will cover the years 2012 through 2015. Under the County Code, the commissioners must set the salaries prior to an election year — in this case 2011 — and must apply an equal percentage to all of the affected offices.
Thursday night’s hearing will be held at Room 201, located immediately to the left inside the North Main Street entrance of the Gunzburger Building.
