Helicopter Will Be Buzzing Around Region

Potter County Department of Emergency Services advises that West Penn Power will be conducting aerial inspection of its local transmission lines beginning on Tuesday, July 17, and continuing through Aug. 9. A contractor, Chesapeake Bay Helicopters, will conduct the inspections. Its black and grey chopper, shown here, will be flying at a speed of about 25-30 mph above or alongside the transmission lines, and may circle around for a closer inspection. Weather conditions may result in schedule changes.
