Hit-and-Run Leaves Cross Fork Residents without Power
1 min readCROSS FORK – A hit-and-run at the intersection of Stewart Hill Road and Main Street in Leidy Township, has left residents in Cross Fork without power this morning.
State Police say at approximately 3:00 am this morning, a red passenger car or minivan struck a telephone pole, snapping it half, and bringing down the pole and electrical wires.
Police say the crash happened after the driver attempted to turn onto Main Street from Stewart Hill, failed to make the turn, and slid through the intersection and into the telephone pole.
Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
Residents in Cross Fork were still without power this morning as a result of the crash.
Crews from Tri-County Electric are currently at the scene repairing the damage.
