Potter County Tax Claim Bureau (TCB) will try one more public auction this year in an effort to get more properties returned to the rolls for school district, county and municipal real estate taxes.
A Judicial Sale of approximately 20 properties has been scheduled for Monday, Nov. 8, at 10 am in the auditorium of the F. W. Gunzburger County Office Building.
The county sets a minimum bid to recover overdue taxes, interest and costs. All mortgages, liens and encumbrances are wiped clean.
Bidding for the majority of the properties will begin in the hundreds of dollars.
With some pricey pieces of real estate still on the list, tax officials expect a lively bidding environment Monday.
There have been some record tax sales here in Indiana also, with decent properties left on the list.
It’s amazing a lot of banks are letting their interest go rather than paying the taxes.
