Kane Man Sentenced in Potter County Court
1 min readCOUDERSPORT – A Kane man was sentenced on Wednesday, March 16 in Potter County court to two consecutive terms of 12 months probation, ordered to pay $500 in fines and perform 25 hours of community service.
Potter County District Attorney Andy J. Watson said 21-year-old Travis Conklin took an envelope containing $850 from a Keating Township residence, after the owner allowed Conklin in to use the phone and internet.
The victim discovered the missing money after giving Conklin a ride to the Port Motel, at which point a witness there contacted the victim and alerted them to the fact that Conklin had an envelope with a large sum of money in it.
Conklin was sentenced on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property.
