Kane Woman Killed in Crash

A Kane woman was killed in a two vehicle accident Saturday morning on Route 6 two miles west of Kane. State Police say a car, driven by 76 year-old Joann Howell, crossed the center line twice and struck a tractor trailer nearly head-on. Howell, who had to be extricated from her car, was taken UPMC Hamot, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the semi, 38 year-old Stephen Pratt of Gifford, was uninjured.
