PA Senator & current Lieutenant Governor, Joe Scarnati, visited Potter County earlier this week, breaking for lunch at the Olga Gallery, Cafe, & Bistro on Main Street Coudersport, where he enjoyed one of the many pinini’s offered by the town’s newest restaurant.
During his visit to Potter, Senator Joe Scarnati made an impromptu visit with Carl Karschner of William R. Karschner & Sons, located on Main Street, Coudersport, to inform Mr. Karschner that several insurance issues are arising on the agenda at the Harrisburg Capital.
Although Senator Joe Scarnati’s visit was merely for the purpose of “touching base” with the residents of Potter County, he was targeted with several questions regarding forced pulling of Oil & Gas interest owners, regarding which the Senator claims legislation is currently stalled and has yet to reach the level of committee consideration, the “oil & gas tax”, discussion of which the Senator claims has met a standstill in Harrisburg pending the Governor’s compromise on the level of taxation, and of course the state of the budget for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
