WILLIAMSPORT – A suspended Williamsport Bureau of Police officer had his day in court Wednesday, but not before a jury.
Instead, Dustin Kreitz, 42, pleaded guilty in Lycoming County Court to failure to report a gift.
Other charges were dismissed by the state attorney general’s office prior to his court appearance.
They were: tampering with public records, criminal conspiracy to engage in tampering with public records, obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension, perjury, and restricted activities involving conflict of interest and theft.
Kreitz faced a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
However, the sentence handed down by Potter County Judge John B. Leete amounted to a $350 fine and no jail time.
