Little Change in Area Jobless Rate

Jobless rates in Cameron and Potter counties crept upward during June, but with such a small statistical sampling, officials point out that the fluctuations are not significant.
Cameron County once again had the highest unemployment rate in Pennsylvania, with 15 percent of adults looking for work. The figure was 14.9 in May. Last June, Cameron County’s jobless rate was 18.4 percent.
Potter County’s jobless rate rose from 11.1 percent in May to 11.7 percent in June.
