Local ‘Dress A Girl’ Campaign Big Hit In Dominican Republic
1 min readFrom Potter County Today
A Potter County woman and her daughter recently returned from the Dominican Republic, where they distributed upwards of 200 colorful dresses to needy girls. Joy Currier and her daughter, Mollie, received a boost when employees of the Potter County Assessment Office launched a month-long “Dress A Girl” campaign and received generous support from county employees and from the public. Employees, on their own time, collected pillowcases and sewed elastic and bias tape onto them. The end product was a broad selection of dresses taken along by the Curriers on a church-based mission trip.
