Local Ambulance Services Part Of Statewide Study

COUDERSPORT – Charles Cole Memorial Hospital hosted an informational meeting recently for emergency service agencies to learn about a statewide needs assessment survey. Nine ambulance companies heard from Penn State professor Dr. Jill Rumberger, who is leading the research. She said the survey will determine the financial viability and sustainability of rural ambulance services in Pennsylvania, in an era of shrinking reimbursements and increased costs. Results will be available in early 2011.
