Seven new artists and three new businesses have been accepted into the Pennsylvania Wilds Artisan Development Initiative. Among artists juried into the program were Tim Walck (photography) and Eppie Bailey (fiber, at right), both of Potter County. Sweden Valley Inn, also from Potter County, was one of three retail establishments added to the Artisan Trail.
The Artisan Development Initiative aims to raise the visibility and profitability of artisans and arts-related businesses by branding high-quality, locally made artisan products with the “Proudly Made in the Pennsylvania Wilds” logo. The initiative also recognizes effective artistic use of heritage themes in area businesses. More information about the Artisan Trial or the juried artisans is available on the internet at pawildsartisans.com.
