Maintaining ‘Safety Net’ For Potter County’s Most Vulnerable

From Potter County Today

collaborate1With state and federal budget cuts in the offing, two local agencies are teaming for a symposium to explore how they can deliver services more efficiently and maintain a “safety net” for needy citizens in Potter County, particularly children. “Collaborative Service Delivery: Meeting the Needs of a Rural Community” is the title of a program to be held on Wednesday, April 27, at the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle. It’s sponsored by Potter County Human Services and Seneca Highlands Intermediate Unit 9.

Beginning at 3 pm, attendees can learn about services provided in Potter County through schools, human service agencies and community organizations. That will be followed by a presentation on the new era of service delivery in rural communities at 4. More information on the April 27 program is available from Mary Freeman at Human Services (1-800-800-2560) or Shelly Carson at IU9 (274-9880).
