Man Dies at Kissing Bridge Ski Resort

A Wales, New York, man died after a possible medical incident at the Kissing Bridge ski resort Friday afternoon.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Department says members of the ski patrol found 60-year-old John Fuchs on the ground underneath a chairlift at around 3:45 p.m. He was treated at the scene by the ski patrol and East Concord firefighters before being taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, where he died.
An autopsy will be conducted today in the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office.
