WILLIAMSPORT – A Loyalsock Township man faces felony charges for using his cell phone to secretly record a private conversation he was having with his wife, state police allege.
Jared Earl Brown, 28, of 1418 Country Club Lane used the digital recorder in his cell phone to record the conversation without his wife’s knowledge on May 18.
The brief recording of the conversation between Brown and Kimberly Brown centered around how the couple’s relationship has soured, police said.
Brown was arraigned Friday before District Judge Kenneth T. Schriner Jr. on charges of intercepting communications and disclosing those conversations, which means he illegally recorded a conversation and then played back that unauthorized recording. He was released on $5,000 bail.
