HARRISON VALLEY – A Harrison Valley man has been jailed on $5,000 bail, accused of brandishing a Russian AK-47 semi-automatic rifle at a playground along Tannery Street in Harrison Valley on Tuesday, Mar. 20.
Police say 21-year-old Cody D. Metcalf of 2nd Street exited a vehicle with the semi-automatic rifle and pulled the charging lever before engaging one of two unidentified individuals in a discussion. Police say Metcalf then pulled the charging lever on the rifle once more before leaving the scene.
State Police say there were made aware of the situation on Mar. 27, and after a thorough investigation found that Metcalf is a person not to possess a firearm from a past adjudication as a juvenile.
Metcalf was arrested yesterday without incident and arraigned in Delores G. Bristol’s courtroom on charges of Person Not to Possess a Firearm (F2) and Terroristic Threats (M1).
Listed as victims of the crime were a 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male.
