Man Jailed on Sexual Abuse Charges

HECTOR TWP. – A 29-year-old Tioga man has been arrested and jailed on charges he engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old Potter County girl.

Police allege Leonard Curtis Vanorder engaged in a sexual relationship with the girl and also solicited, received and possessed lewd pictorial text messages from her.

Vanorder was arrested on July 22 without incident. He was charged with Corruption of Minors(M1) and two counts of Sexual Abuse of Children; one a class-3 felony, the other a class-2 felony.

Vanorder was arraigned in Judge Stubbs courtroom and remanded to the Potter County jail in lieu of $15,000 (10%) bail.

Police say an investigation continues.
