Man Pleads Not Guilty in Slaying of Game Officer
1 min readTwenty-seven-year-old Christopher Lynn Johnson, who has been charged with shooting a PA Wildlife Conservation Officer to death in November, has pleaded not guilty.
Wildlife Conservation Officer David Grove was patrolling by himself on a rural stretch of roadway outside Gettysburg, PA, when authorities say he came upon Johnson, who was poaching at the time. Johnson is accused of then shooting Grove before fleeing the scene.
Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against Johnson if convicted of first-degree murder.
