DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY – Police in DuBois are looking for a man they say posed as a local official, knocked on a family’s door and demanded their children. It happened around 5:00 Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of Maple Avenue.
Police say a man knocked on the door and told the woman who answered he was from Children and Youth Services and the School District told him to come and take her children. She asked him for credentials. When he didn’t have any, she shut the door in his face, and later called the police.
