Police say Trooper Rex A. Johnson, 41, of Mansfield was traveling east on Route 6, in Roulette Township, in a State Police issued 2009 Ford Crown Victoria, when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a right-hand turn in the roadway. Johnson’s vehicle traveled across the westbound lane before exiting the roadway and striking two driveway marker posts. His vehicle then continued westbound and came to rest after impacting a descending embankment.

Johnson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital by a PSP patrol car for treatment of moderate injuries.

Although the official police news release stated that no charges would be filed, the violation was listed as (not) Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
