Man was DUI in ATV Crash

HEBRON TWP. – In an updated news release, State Police in Coudersport have said 53-year-old Thomas Maira was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed a Polaris ATV on the South Branch Road.

At the time of the accident Maira was reportedly unresponsive prior to the arrival of EMS personnel.

Maira was flown by medical helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital, where he was later released with minor injuries.

Three of Maira’s passengers in the crash were cited for operating an ATV in an unsafe manner and on public roads.

Maira has since been charged with DUI in District Court 55-4-01.
