Map Spotlights Tourist Attractions Along Route 6
1 min readWith many people hitting the road for summer vacation, tourist promoters remind travelers that a new map of U.S. Route 6 in Pennsylvania is now available to help guide then to attractions along or near that national east/west route the highway. The map is a product of the Pennsylvania Route 6 Alliance. A mile marker system was placed along Rt. 6 in 2008. The new map uses this system to direct travelers to sites, accommodations, and services. It also highlights historical sites, outdoor recreational activities, scenic vistas and community festivals and events. Maps are available at PennDOT welcome centers, visitor centers along Rt. 6, AAA offices and through the website, paroute6.com.
