Mary G. McLean, 84, of 21 Pioneer Rd., Emporium died at Hamot Medical Center, Erie on Wednesday (January 5, 2011) afternoon.

She was born February 3, 1926 in Emporium a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Guccione Grimone.

On March 18, 1946 she married Mark L. McLean, who Survives.

Mrs. McLean graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1944 and was the treasurer of her 1944 Alumni Class. She had worked as a reporter for the former Cameron County Press and the Bradford Era for many years. She also had worked for the former Widmanns, in Emporium, as a manager for several years and at the former Grants store and Pure Carbon in St. Marys. She met her husband when she worked at Sylvania for a short time while still in High School. She was a member of the Junior Womens Club, Garden Club, Antique Seekers, Legion Auxiliary and the 8 & 40. She was also active in the Cameron County Cardiac Association, the Parade of Stars, and the Cameron County Fair Association.

2 Sisters: Rose Praino & Lucy Chambers
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM.

Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 205 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday (January 8, 2011) at 2:00 PM with Rev. Philip W. Sanders, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
