Mary G. Pedine, 89, of Bradford

Mary G. Pedine, 89, of 310 South Ave., Bradford, passed away Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 at Bradford Ecumenical Home, after a brief illness.

Born April 26, 1921, in Naples, Italy she was a daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Victoria (Forte) Luciano. She was a 1940 graduate of St. Bernard High School.

On August 17, 1946 in St. Bernard Church she married James J. Pedine who died on May 13, 2002.

After high school she worked at AZ Greenberg Store, later Olson’s Department Store, and prior to her retirement at Clarks Discount Store.

She was a lifetime member of St. Bernard Church, the Catholic Women’s Club and the LaStella Lodge Auxiliary.

Surviving are three daughters: Sandra Brochetti, of Bradford, Kathleen (Donald) Taylor of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and Joanne Himes of Bradford, three sisters: Nancy (William) O’Donnell, Gloria (the late Vincent) Colella, and Jean (the late Stephen) Hvizdzak of Bradford, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 2-4pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St. where a prayer service will be held Monday February 7, 2011 at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church at 10:00am on Monday  February 7th,  with Rev. Leo Gallina, pastor as Celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be conducted at 3:30pm Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to St. Bernard Church Building Fund, Futures, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
