Medic 6 Delayed after Hitting Deer on Emergency Call
1 min readROULETTE – State Police in Coudersport say a deer was to blame for delaying Medic 6 while en route to an emergency call.
Police say the emergency response vehicle, a 2008 GMC Yukon, became disabled after striking a deer along Route 6 at 4:20 am on December 24.
The medic and driver of the SUV, 44-year-old Charlotte Nelson, was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured. She was later transported to the emergency call after assistance from police and Roulette Ambulance personnel.
Police say the deer died as a result of the impact.
