ALBA, Pa. — Methane gas has been found in three more water wells in northern Pennsylvania.
The state’s top environmental regulator said Wednesday that elevated levels of methane were detected at a home and a convenience store in Alba, Bradford County. Environmental Secretary John Hanger says testing so far has revealed methane in the wellheads, but not in the water itself.
Talisman Energy USA Inc. has been drilling about 2,650 feet away.
