Miller Causes Crash

Investigator Donald Wolfe of the Mansfield PSP reports on a crash that occurred on State Highway 549 at its intersection with T952/Church Street in Tioga County on 4-9-12 at 7:30PM.  The crash occurred as a 1999 Dodge Dakota driven by Max Miller, 21, of Millerton, PA was travelling east on Church Street and a 2000 Volkswagon Golf driven by Elizabeth Basalyga, 55, of Mansfield, PA was travelling south on SR549.  Miller was unable to stop at the intersection and the front of his vehicle collided with the front right corner of Basalyga’s vehicle, pushing it across the roadway, where it came to rest partially off the roadway in a ditch with Miller’s vehicle against it blocking the roadway.  Both drivers were wearing safety belts.  Basalyga received a minor injury but was not transported by EMT.  Miller was charged with a violation.
