Coudersport’s Mitchell Park Revitalization Project

COUDERSPORT – Twenty-one Rotarians and community volunteers joined together to re-paint picnic tables, park benches and playground equipment that had been vandalized over the years at Mitchell Park, a local Coudersport community park. Several repairs were also needed as the heavily used park equipment and tables showed many signs of normal wear and tear. According to Rotary Club President, Karen Cahilly, the revitalization project will undoubtedly continue into the Spring after the weather breaks followed by the several anticipated enhancements to the Park’s duck lookout area and nature trail to be coordinated and performed by the Club.
The Local Parks Revitalization & Enhancement Project is just one of the community/humanitarian projects performed on a regular basis by the Coudersport Rotary Club. The Club hopes to create several cooperative arrangements with the other clubs and organizations in the area, such as the Coudersport High School Youth, the Boy Scouts of America, Ducks Unlimited of Potter County, and the Penn State Cooperative Extension, in order to bring the project to full fruition. Those interested in becoming more involved in the Coudersport community can contact the Coudersport Rotary Club directly at (814) 203-3933.
Awesome job everyone!
